Laundry Care For Your New Linen Bedding

Our linen bedding has been stonewashed prior to shipping; but we do recommend a gentle cold wash when you receive your purchase. The more you wash your linens the softer they get.

What is stonewashing?

The stonewashing process is a traditional and artisanal way of softening the fabric naturally. This is done to ensure that you sleep on the softest linen from day one.

Caring for you linen bedding:

Warm or cold wash on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Naturally we recommend using an eco-friendly liquid detergent.

Wash your linen with similar colours. Be aware that some colours may fade a little over a time. This natural as only nontoxic dyes are used in our linen.

Do not bleach and do not dry clean. After all, linen is one of the oldest fibres in history and came well before the invention of bleach and dry cleaning.

Line dry naturally is preferable.

Our washed flax linen really doesn't need ironing as the slightly rustic look is part of the natural linen charm. But if you prefer a smoother finish, we recommend ironing the linen while it is still a little damp, on a low heat with or without steam.
